Shipping Policy

Effective date: 1 January 2025

This Shipping Policy explains how Prisma Grading Company handles incoming shipments, return shipments, shipping methods, address requirements, and shipment-related responsibilities.

1. Incoming Shipments to Prisma

Customers are responsible for securely packaging all items sent to Prisma. Prisma recommends rigid support, protective sleeves or semi-rigid holders where appropriate, interior cushioning, and a durable outer shipping box. Prisma is not responsible for damage caused by poor customer packaging prior to delivery to Prisma’s intake location.

2. Shipment Tracking

Customers are strongly encouraged to use a tracked shipping service when sending items to Prisma. The customer remains responsible for loss or damage in transit until Prisma confirms delivery at its designated intake address.

3. Address Accuracy

Customers must provide accurate return shipping information. Prisma is not responsible for shipment delays, returns, or losses caused by incorrect, incomplete, or outdated address information supplied by the customer.

4. Return Shipping Methods

Prisma may select the return carrier and service level based on destination, shipment value, weight, insurance requirements, customs considerations, and operational availability. Signature confirmation may be required for certain shipments.

5. Estimated Dispatch Timing

Once grading, encapsulation, quality control, and payment clearance are complete, Prisma will arrange return shipping within a commercially reasonable time. Shipment dispatch timing may vary due to carrier pickup schedules, customs documentation, or internal handling requirements.

6. International Shipping

International shipments may be subject to customs procedures, import duties, VAT, brokerage fees, local clearance requirements, and delivery delays outside Prisma’s control. Such fees are generally the responsibility of the recipient unless otherwise stated.

7. Delivery Attempts and Returned Parcels

If a shipment is refused, unclaimed, or returned to Prisma due to delivery failure, Prisma may require additional payment before reshipment. Prisma reserves the right to charge additional handling and shipping fees for repeated dispatch attempts.

8. Combined Shipping

Where operationally feasible, Prisma may combine eligible completed orders into a single return shipment. Prisma reserves the right to determine whether combined shipping is practical and appropriate.

9. Risk of Loss for Return Shipments

Risk of loss for return shipments shall be governed by the shipping service selected, the insurance level applied where applicable, and the terms of Prisma’s Insurance Policy. Customers should review both policies together.

10. Customs and Compliance

Customers are responsible for compliance with import and export laws relevant to their jurisdiction. Prisma may decline to ship to destinations where legal restrictions, customs complications, sanctions, or operational limitations prevent reasonable shipment handling.

11. Delays Outside Prisma’s Control

Prisma is not liable for delays caused by customs authorities, carrier interruptions, weather events, strikes, transport disruption, political events, or other circumstances outside Prisma’s reasonable control.

12. Contact

Questions regarding shipping procedures, dispatch handling, or return shipment concerns may be directed to Prisma through the official contact details published on this website.
